Everything is in Russian. I won't translate it for you - it is a very big site and webmastering it takes a lot of time, but you can try any autotranslating service or find a person who knows Russian..

You can post your search message on the messageboard. I understand that it is difficult for a person who don't know Russian (there is a Russian interface there), but you can try.
When you get there, you can push the left red-brown square button:
In the upper line you are to write the head of your message. On the third line you are to write your name, or you can leave the word Guest there. Write nothing on the fourth line. And write you message in the lowest square. The message will be posted when you'll push the left lower square gray button on which it is written something like OTIIPABNTL. Don't forget to write your contact information, so that people could answer you somehow. Or you can remember the address of your message (when it appears) and vizit it to look if somebody answered.

I would like very much to research my family history. My father's name was Dimitri Michalovich (born in St. Petersburg in 1903) and his father was Michael Michalovich. My paternal grandmother was Raisa Sochava and her father (whose name I do not know) was a physician. My father told me that his grandfather, the physician, was awarded some honors by the USSR for his work with peasants and a monument was erected somewhere in Russia. I would also like to learn where this is. My mother's name was Avgusta Aleksandrovna Zacharuya, (born in Siberia in 1911, I think in Vladivostok). Her father was Aleksandr Aleksandrovich and her mother was Valentina Michalovna Troofonava. Any help you can give me in my research would be greatly appreciated. My great-grandfather was Joseph Zavatsky and his wife was Josephine (English spelling) Stasevich. Joseph had two brothers Kasis and Michel and a sister Ona who came to the United States after (we think) Joseph and Josephine. There were four children: Nellie, born in 1899 in Lithuania; John, born in 1900 in Lithuania; Isabelle, born in 1904 in Minersville, Pennsylvania; and Stanley, born in 1906 in Minersville. We have a photo of Josephine that is labeled (by Nellie as "my mother Josephine") and other photos of Ona's wedding in Russia but we don't know who the participants are. My great Grandfather: Lajzar (Lazare/Leon) Wolf Zechanovetzki, born 1865 ( I hink Warsaw, Russia) Died new York 1916. (the name was shortened to Zecha in 1932 by Lazare's children) Lazare was in New York (I am not sure how he got here), when his wife and 4 children came. Sarah (Lazare's wife) and 3 of the children Simon(my Grandfather), Henry, and Sophie, (thru Ellis Island on the ship Lusitania,in 1914 out of England). the last sister, Mary came over on a different ship alone at 14 yrs old, . She didn't come with the rest of the family, this I can't figure out why? (my brother swears he saw a number tattoo on one of my grandfather's sister's arm when my brother was very young) I have never seen this or any other family members mention this. From old documents I have, the family went to Paris in 1894 (approximately) from Warsaw. they became French citizens. his wife Sarah Rebecca Wunthaler (AKA Wundhailer)(AKA Wuntheiler) Kuterchvitch, born 1877 Warsaw Russia, died ? in New York many years later I know she lived at least till 1945. She married a good man Morris Friedman 1921 after Lazare died. Her mother was named Zelda Kuterchvitch, her father was Morris Wunthaler. In Warsaw, Lazare and Sarah lived at Warsaw house number 2234 where my grandfather was born. I have very little information on Lazare's background. and a few scraps of Sarah's. I do know either an uncle or brother of Sarah's was in a concentration camp he did have the tattoo of numbers. his name was Alexander (Alex) Wunthaler, he was a mathematician and taught at a university in Chicago around 1950 (maybe University of Chicago). His story I do not know, I would like to know everything I can about my family and what they lived through. this information I have, came from some old documents I have recently received and thru some family members. I am searching for ancestors from Russia. My maternal great-grandfather, Gregor Zelinka, came to America, probably early in the 1900s. I believe that his date of birth was 5 Nov 1881. Other than the name of his wife, Anna Diballa (and I believe he married her in the US), and date and location of his death, we have very little information about this ancestor. She married John Sherman. I don't know if the first name of John is accurate. The family was Jewish. My information is that they lived on
a farm, but that's all I know. They had at least three children, possibly more. Their children were Anna Sherman (my grandmother), two sisters Freida and Pauline, and a brother Nathan. Anna was born in 1/?/1897. Her death certificate lists Russia as place of birth. Anna immigrated to the U.S. (NYC) prior to 1925. Pauline, Freida, and Nathan also immigrated, but I'm not certain if they came at the same time. Their parents remained behind. Any iformation or suspected connections would be appreciated. My grandfather Zuker Grigoriy along with its brother Zuker Michael emigrated from the Poland from town Kock during the Domestic war. There beside they stayed relatives. Their father name's Alter and they had big family. I know that they had a sister a Rose, but it dead already much long ago, father of my grandparent - Alter dead from the tuberculosis, but mother dead at occupations of fascists. Grandparent my was given birth in the december 1917. Grandparent after the war went in the Poland, however its teacher, who it there has met reported that all relatives left in America (Canada) somewhere.
