Here are the surnames of people connected with Russia. The number of such surnames is very big, so there are four K-pages. First page is from the beginning till Kavarzin, second from Kavava till Koltsov, third from Koltun till Krichevtsov, and the fourth from Krichmar till the end. Some are prezent on our site, some are with genealogical information, some with contact information of their reprezentatives. Everything is in Russian. I won't translate it for you - it is a very big site and webmastering it takes a lot of time, but you can try any autotranslating service or find a person who knows Russian..
You can post your search message on the messageboard. I understand that it is difficult for a person who don't know Russian (there is a Russian interface there), but you can try.
When you get there, you can push the left red-brown square button:
In the upper line you are to write the head of your message. On the third line you are to write your name, or you can leave the word Guest there. Write nothing on the fourth line. And write you message in the lowest square. The message will be posted when you'll push the left lower square gray button on which it is written something like OTIIPABNTL. Don't forget to write your contact information, so that people could answer you somehow. Or you can remember the address of your message (when it appears) and vizit it to look if somebody answered.
If you wont'manage, we can post your message on this page or on the messageboard. It's free. Write Stas at mr.ghost@mail.ru and he'll post it, maybe not immediately.

Hi, I have Koratsky which was changed to grotsky when they came to us. Also a Motel Wasserman wife Ida. I have their children all born in Russia Thanks You dbjorn@cameron.net (September 2002)

I am looking for information about the Russian part of my family. My great grandfather was Joseph Kornichuk and he was married to Mary Decenko. Both were probably born in the 1870s - 1880s. They came to the United States with two sons, Christopher Kornichuk, born
1906 and Michael Kornichuk, born 1910. Family stories claim the Kornichuks were Cossacks. Thank you so much for any information you can offer to aid my search. Marlene OurLoonsNest@hotmail.com (March 2003)

I am researching the Kornitsky name.  Any help would be very much appreciated.  I can be reached at bsherryellen@aol.com (January 2003).

My father, of German background married my mother, Evdokia (Dunia)Korolkova in Nikopol, Ukraine in 1920. The Korolkov family were large construction builders (schools, libraries, hospitals) and alos owned a big brick manufacturing Zavod, called Bratya Korolkov. The brothers were Ivan and Mattveij (the latter being my grandfather. My greatgrandfather was Dmitrii Korolkov and the first head of this company was Prokofia Korolkova. It appears that the Factory was established in 1832. I have visited in Nikopol several times, but am not able to find much more information. Apparently, there was also a relative by the name of Nikolai Korolkov, a doctor, in Canada, possibly in Montreal. Any leads or info would be greatly appreciated. I might add that I can read Russian fairly well. Mary Dueck maryrdueck@shaw.ca (November 2002).

Trying to track down both my mother's family name Koschekovitch, (or Koschecowich) later anglicised to Koskey/Kosky/Kasky or Kaye by many family; also the town of origin - Brestlescoff - which I am unable to track even as a town name. is this mis-spelt?  This is how it appeared on my maternal UK grandfather's identify card which he needed in 1914 for the First World War.   He arrived in UK at just 2 years old in around 1882. Jon Finegold. jon@keyline-consultancy.co.uk(January 2003).

I am looking for information about my Grandfather named GRIGORI KOSIOL. On the Ellis Island ship's manifest he lists Saki ( a place northeast of Smolensk) as his place of origin, on another document I found out that his parents are SAMUEL KOSIOL and AGNES KOZELESKO and that's about all I've found out. These names are not in your list, where would I go to find out info about this village of Saki, is there a church or town hall, at this point, I'm lost, short of visiting the town itself.
Any help you can convey would be greatly appreciated.
Harry Kozell, (hkosiol@bellsouth.net) (January 2003).
